Recommended Dress We recommend wearing your swimsuit under comfortable clothing and shoes that can get wet. A hat, sunglasses, a towel, and sunscreen are suggested.

Restrictions Guests must be able to get in and out of the boat. The minimum age to participate is 4 years of age. This tour is not wheelchair accessible. Local authorities are encouraging guests to wear UV-protective clothing and not use sunscreen (regular or biodegradable) in an effort to prevent the spread of the coral disease known as White Syndrome.

While gliding atop the waters, you will enjoy spectacular marine life and the vibrant coral reef before returning to shore for a relaxing stroll along the beach.

This Carribean snorkeling tour is conducted inside the reef lagoon, the portion of the sea between the reef crest and the beach. There are sections of sea grass and sand in which several coral heads are scattered around, generally, teeming with coral fish. Your Costa Maya snorkeling excursion will last approximately one hour in the shallow water of the reef lagoon. Since coral reefs are the most diverse and beautiful of all marine habitats, you will be introduced to some of the most spectacular underwater sights in Costa Maya.

After snorkeling, your boat will wait on a buoy before heading back to the dive shop (be advised that you will need to get in the water to board/or go ashore), so you get to stroll along the warm sand of Mahahual Beach.
